9. May 2019 @ 10:00 - 16:00

KL is conducting a workshop focusing on the highly topical subject: Digitalization of business processes and workflows. Methods and tools for agile digitalization will be presented, including the DCR Graphs.

Organizations are always looking for improvements in how they work in order to increase efficiency and reduce errors. In recent decades, there has been a focus on modeling and automating well-structured and routine business processes.

Today focus is not just on the structured workflows in predictable situations, but on dynamic situations and workflows affected by changeability. Especially case management, involving knowledge workers and citizens, is characterized by unpredictable elements – which are best described by the case workers executing the task. Flexible and agile digitalization of workflows are thus needed to cover a broader spectrum of business processes and respond to evolving situations.

Digitalization of workflows

Thomas Hildebrandt, associated professor at the IT University of Copenhagen and co-founder of DCR Graphs, is a key note speaker at the workshop. Thomas will introduce OMG’s standard (Object Management Group) BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and CMMN (Case Management Model and Notation). Furthermore, he will present the DCR-technology and explain how to use the tool to simulate business processes – followed up by concrete examples.

Get hands-on-experience

The event is intended for municipal employees interested in workflows, for instance program – and Project Managers, Work Flow Consultants, Development Consultants etc. The day will focus on active participation and exercises where the participants can try out and set the methods and tools in context to their own workflows. Participants will get hands-on-experience with the tool, DCRgraphs.net, and understand it in context to other organizations, including a Danish municipality and University.
