28. August 2017 @ 09:00 - 16:00

It is with great pleasure we can confirm, that Exformatics and ITU are going to take part in ManComp 2017.

One of the key profiles in the DCR technology development Thomas Hildebrandt, Associate professor at the IT University of Copenhagen, will deliver a presentation about Dynamic Condition Response (DCR) at the conference.

The presentation is based on the paper “Managing Complexity in Process Digitalisation with Dynamic Condition Response Graphsis” and points to two key problems in state-of-the art BPM technologies: 1) the use of rigid flow diagrams as the “source code” of process digitalisation and 2) insufficient support for continuous and agile end-user mapping and adaptation of processes.

As a glimpse of a solution, the presentation will focus on how the DCR Graph technology and collaborative process repository DCRGraphs.net can support agile and collaborative, bottom-up digitalisation of business and workflow processes.

ManComp 2017

ManComp 2017 is the 2nd workshop on Managed Complexity that has a long tradition for algorithms and general problems planned to focus on approaches and methods for managing complexity in the domain of applied informatics that may concern an interplay of systems and ecosystems of various sizes and substance. Its purpose is to share and transfer knowledge on complexity identification, representation, controlling and reduction as well as to exploit possible synergies in the development of innovative complexity handling strategies, approaches, and methods.
The ultimate goal of the workshop is bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss theoretical approaches or real-life case studies featuring success and/or failure stories in managing complexity. It welcomes seeking and discussing answers to such questions as:

  • What kinds of models are to be specified?
  • What kind of rules are to be applied?
  • Which notation or ontologies are useful in complexity handling?
  • How is knowledge reused?
